The result and quality of the product depends on how correctly the team members are selected. If you are a specialist who is thinking about organizing your team or a leader who first encountered recruiting, this article will be useful to you.

Why do you need a team
An SMM who works alone, at a certain point in his career, is faced with the fact that his resources are limited. Consequently, the number of clients, their scale and the level of its profit, too.

Here are some reasons for teamwork:

continuous professional growth in the team. It doesn't stop when your personal resources are depleted;
routine tasks can be delegated to specialists and free yourself time for strategic moments and self-development;
more chances to get a large-scale / prestigious project and decorate your portfolio with a good case;
you do not need to learn all the skills in a row (copywriting, editing, design), you can focus only on the key ones;
thanks to interchangeability, it is possible to plan a vacation and spend it without a phone in hand. When you work alone, the words "weekend" and "vacation" disappear from your vocabulary.
My business model is the Beatles. Four guys controlled each other's negative manifestations. They balanced each other, and the total was more than the sum of the individual parts. This is how I look at business: big things are not done by one person, they are done by a team.

How to select candidates
I highlight three of the most effective recruitment mechanisms:

by recommendation / acquaintance. Often the team includes former colleagues or specialists who know each other in absentia;
based on portfolio or test assignment. Such a candidate should be invited for an internship (1-2 weeks), set a plan, fix the kpi. At the end of the term, it will be clear how he performs his functions and interacts with the team;
invite a "beginner" to the position of an assistant in order to teach "for yourself". I know of cases when a project assistant led federal-level projects on his own after a year and did it successfully.
What specialists are needed in a team
In the abstract, everyone understands who the average SMM team consists of. But in practice, many have questions: "which specialists to hire?", "How many people to invite to the team?", "How to distribute tasks among specialists?" other.

Before declaring a set to a command, do three simple steps:

We determine what specialists are needed and how much
The most convenient way is to use a table in Excel. In the left column - a list of all tasks, in the right - the responsible specialist.

Everything works well when tasks from the "Office" series are correctly distributed
When in doubt that you can provide all team members with work and timely payment, start small. Take on tasks for all projects and systematically delegate them. When you realize that there are not enough "hands" - expand. It's simple
